This week has somehow been both full speed and slow pace.
A week between full speed and slowing down: family travel, art, Shabbat, CAPTURE 2026 at the Coral Gables Museum, community projects, and discovering Theo of Golden at just the right moment.
Travel • Art • Hidden Gems • Motherhood • Women's Empowerment • Stories – Simply be yourself, as if, it was possible, at least bite into it!

After several unexpected encounters with ants — and a few scars from fire ant bites — I started wondering about the spiritual meaning and symbolism of ants. Across traditions, ants symbolize perseverance, resilience, organization, patience and the power of working together. Those lessons resonate deeply with me as I build Unchained Mothering and search for the right people to come together around a purposeful mission
Comfort zones, leadership, motherhood, running a business, building a nonprofit — and finding the balance between pushing forward and knowing when to rest, ask for help, delegate and let others rise.

This summer reminded me that as our children grow, parenting changes too. Teenagers and young adults bring a new balance to find, and I’m still figuring it out.
Time in Amsterdam became much more than a family visit. It was a journey through history, resilience, community, and hope—reminding me that while we cannot change the past, we can choose how we carry it forward, rebuild, and bring more light into the world. 🤍
a book that inspired me to travel
The lost apothecary Sarah Penner and more about mudlarking
As our daughter is about to turn 19, I’m reminded that young adulthood is also a season when parents learn to let go a little more—to trust, to hope for the best, and to keep loving while giving their children the space to become who they are meant to be, while allowing ourselves the space to become who we are meant to be, too. ❤️
Learning to trust the flow of life means letting go of the need to control every detail and staying connected to what truly matters: our values, purpose, our people and the bigger picture. Often, the unexpected becomes part of the journey.
