Major event : The full moon…

A crazy spring summer weather In NYC right after getting snow last week!!!

Miss Geometria hosted at La vue restaurant In Brooklyn!

Sitting With Ms Universe Russia 2015 and Ms Asia ! And meeting Yulia King, very nice ladies.

Enjoying an Ev Bessar show!

Enjoying The highline and around ! Love That part of Town  !

Walking around Chelsea and its arts galeries.

Un goûter at the Hotel Americano. Very trendy, chic and yet kids friendly. 2 women 5 kids! Not affraid and welcoming ! Bravo!

Wishing you all a good Sunday … Missing my TornM!

Sometimes you cross someone in the street, in a restaurant, any place actually and you think!

“I love the coat she is wearing”, “great boots I wonder where she got them !”  “Oh that’s the perfect frame for our living room,  I’m dreaming of this mugs they are so cute…( you know the ones with make believe diamond ring In spite of Mugs’ handle).

Well, there is a difference between a human and its style, it’s charisma, and an object sitting on a store’s shelve!

Of course there is !

And the good thing about it, is that you can make your day and someone else day nicer, by reaching out to this person and saying: “Hi by the way your jacket is awesome” or “sorry to disturb you, hope you are not going to think I’m crazy but I love your style”, or “thank you for your smile it does make a better day for all”!

( True, how many times has your mood sunken, while entering a place and seeing your interlocutor in a pesty mood, with a mouth falling both side of his chin!

And in the contrary, how many time has your day taken a better shift once you spoke to a happy and smiling individual).

Hopefully you are not dressed in sports legging with an old sweater and dirty hairs attached in a bun on the top of your head! (Huge loss of credibility) Yes I have to admit it happened to me sometimes! But no old sweaters, I do not have any! They are all own by my best friends 😉 and I strongly remind her to discard them all  ( ok one for stormy weather or a painting job😋)…

So! My famous “So”! now you understand all the sense of “So”Parislux!

So, as I was waiting for the green light to cross the street, I realized that the man standing next to me, had a great vintage and yet contemporary and very NYC/Brooklyn style !

Quick thoughts:

– “hum… Should I speak and ask for a picture for my blog”…”humm… It’s a man, I do not want any ambiguity!”.

– “hum, Jessica that is how you face equality between Man and Woman! We are in the 21st century! We are civilized” ( you do seize my tone I am overwhelming …).

My legendary spontaneity prend Le dessus (pushes me) and in the glimpse I say :

“Hi my name is Jessica de Vreeze, and I have a blog called Soparislux, I think you have a great style and I would be very happy should you accept to pose for me?”

I added, “you are the first man I do stop, until now I had only asked women…” ( very true).

So here he is:

Style très soigné, refined and tasteful style!

And Great moustache!

Thank you for your time, your image and your good mood.

And for you reading me, I was not wearing sports leggings etc.. I banned them since I am in NYC unless I am really running…

If your curiosity pushes and you wish to see the women I have stopped, feel free to look around through my blog, and for your convenience see some under:

Life brings you surprises and presents when you believe in it.

Ev Bessar, is one of these priceless presents life grants you when you are not expecting them.

I met Ev, almost two years ago, at first I was striked by her presence, she is one of these persons that carries a warm energy around her. Calm, reserved and yet glowing. You can’t guess what lays behind her smile.

She is whole; she shares a story, transporting us on her dreams,  up to the sky.

Coming from Russia, she lives in New York since many years.  New York seems like the perfect settings to her creations. Bringing her Russian’s culture on a New Yorker canvas. Red bricks building and narrow streets full of light, sky scraper or steps to a Harlem dungeon, light and shadow.

She is the Firebird that inhabits her Fall/Winter 2016’s collection presented on 11 February 2016 at Gotham Hall, New York city, during the fashion week.

She is a talented clothing designer, working effortless with passion and eyes for details, to introduce us to her poetry and raw elegance transpiring throughout every pieces of her collection.

As a true Artist, she thinks and met en scène (stages) her clothes on runway, in photographic mise en scène,  staged performance embodied by talented dancers, or in film scenographic.

Talent can be recognized in many ways. The work and application is a hint, but beyond the visible, the energy and committment from the models, make up artist, talented hairdresser,  publicist, sponsor, friends and most of all fiancé shows more.

Ev Bessar is a name to remember and to look forward to In Haute couture  !

Inspiring is the right word. I always loved The  buzz surrounding creativity and passion. Just Add Fashion And fairytale, And it brings me wings.

Art is inspiring, it brings dream, it extracts you from your daily worries or from the faits divers (actuality miscellaneous hazards). It gives you energy, ideas, pushes your limits, opens your mind.

Ev Bessar’s new collection, and fashion show had all that, it was empowering, raw and elegant, avant-guardist and yet grounded.

Strength is an other, Womanity (my way of translating the french word féminité (womanly) and femme  (woman) together) ManhoodTexture (leather and wool, knitted, shiny, matt smooth), Creativity, Vision, True, fantasyStory, are others.

The day before her last Runway, I asked her if she always wanted to design clothes for Women and Men ? She looked at me surprised by the question, as if the answer was obvious “I never though separating one from another”. And it is for our pleasure as she enhance both Womanity, Manhood, enlightening each of them in their difference and diversity to create a harmony. Making woman and man complete each other and unique at the same time. Her knitting underlining the raw design of their body. The mix of texture carrying us from Elegance to fairy tale fantasy.

Words should sometimes keep quiet let  images tells Their store, letting us dream away.

Some images, some impression of the before, backstage and after.

P.S.: This post was very hard to write in English, Ev inspires me In french, as her vision And The precision used to express it, placed her in my mind right next to the most prestigious french designers de Haute couture.

Passion Elegance and Precision (understandable both in French and English, Purity and Modernity added to it and that is about it until new surprises).

If you lingered through my post, you might have crossed pictures of women with unique styles!

Unique, as it is part of their personality.

Strong as they stand up for who they are.

A pleasure for me, I’m always trilled to cross a woman that takes care of herself, and “wears it” naturally, making it seems effortless (even if it requires a certain dexterity and une coquetterie (coquetry) that doesn t exist without evident effort ( unless if your name is Cinderella and you have a magic god mother).

So for the little story: entering Bergdorf Goodman (5ft AV NYC) and heading to the 7th floor for the first time.

As I pass and look around, I make a sudden stop and step back.

My first thoughts: “this mannequin looks so real”, then I continue forward, but couldn’t stop stepping back again.

Popping my head, through a vintage section of the 7th floor, I stand and say “hi”.

Not a mannequin but a real lady, smiles and reply by a gentle Hi.

I couldn’t resist and asked for the permission to take a photograph and share with you.

A great thank you, and a big Bravo, for deciding to be who you are.

Lucky us, it always brighten once day to pass by people who are themself with a touch of coquetry and fantasy to make our world a nicer place to be.
