I feel so blessed to have been surrounded by family as we celebrated our nephew’s Bar Mitzvah — such a meaningful milestone, especially during the High Holidays, as Yom Kippur has just passed and Sukkot begins tomorrow. The girls are now back at college, and it was so nice to be the five of us reunited for a few days. 💛
Tomorrow marks another truly special moment: the opening of Dancing Shoes: A Legacy in Motion at the Miami Shoe Museum, where my work will be on display in honor of Celia Cruz’s legacy. The exhibition runs October 6 – 28 at the InterContinental Miami, blending her iconic cantilever shoes with new AI-inspired designs from the MIAMI Vibes 2.0 Challenge.

📍 Meet me at Gallery 100 tomorrow from 4:00 to 8:00 pm — with a VIP opening (6:00 to 8:00 pm) reserved for press and museum platinum members before general viewing.
This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited. RSVP recommended: contact@miamishoemuseum.org

💫 As we celebrate, we also remember — October 7 marks two years, and still about 50 people are being held away from home.
May the negotiations bring them back soon — fingers crossed. 🙏
