When you feel overwhelmed, pause and flip things around

Great lesson of life for me today.

Lot’s of good things at once, a sudden opportunity to show my Art in NYC, a friend passing by NYC and reaching out for lunch or coffee, some important steps, and every day (setting up the kids for school, breakfast, packing lunch, bringing them to school, etc, the house in a big mess, your eldest who can’t find her phone and lunch pass, some more to do).
Well all is positive and fine, but I got overwhelmed, how can I be in 3 places at the same time, how can I do 5 major things today at once, closing my eyes on all that needs to be done and is not done yet.

Including a move to Miami, a trip to Europe, work in NYC, project to fast forward, photoshoot to plan, math homework of my 7 years old, a going away party for my 13 years old to through, my 10 years old asking for playdates and more and more….

Yeah, that is a bit how my head is for the moment….

And Yet, let’s pause a minute….it’s only very positive things, we have our health and family… theses 2 are check… the main ones… food on the table…

Well I need to give back to others, who has less…

And Yet as a normal person, my head was half exploding and tears were not far to appear at the corner of my eyes…

Our friend from Luxembourg told me, well it’s only beautiful things happening….

He is so right…  and I say to myself “Jessica just chill out… take one thing at a time and turn your overwhelmed head around… from the stress you are experiencing : try to focus on how good all is and stop loosing your time on unnecessary worries”… Imagine in the middle of all that I take time to write a post….

May my journey inspire you to take a moment and flip things around, if you feel overwhelmed that means that a lot of good things are also coming up.

For each problem there is a solution, flip things around to find it. In my case, it is not problems, so the solution is “Just let go and do one thing at a time”, and enjoy the journey…

Try to remeber that there is always a way to see the cup half full..

Thank you my friend, and thank you for reading….

Sending love back to all…

About Hopeje

It’s all about love, life, and the pursuit of happiness. I’m a French-American woman from Paris — born with a suitcase in hand and a heart open to adventure. I’ve always been drawn to the vibrant energy of New York and Miami, visiting every year for a few weeks to recharge on their rhythm, sunshine, and sense of freedom. Who would have thought that life would take me to Luxembourg — where I would find, lose, and find myself again? There, I met the love of my life, built a family with three wonderful children, and traveled… endlessly. (Let’s not forget our loyal dog, who became part of our journey in 2013, and our second furry companion who joined us nearly three years ago!) From Paris to New York, Luxembourg to Miami — traveling has become our middle name. What I love most is discovering the poetry and energy of life wherever I go: architecture, people, customs, places, and the unique atmosphere that makes each encounter unforgettable. Life is a story of movement, emotion, and discovery. Let’s keep exploring, dreaming, and savoring every moment. PS: All content on this blog is shared with pleasure — but it is not free of rights.

Beautiful written, Jess! I could really feel a “tornado” feeling as I was reading what is going on in your life, and then shifted to peace when you started to talk about flipping things around! Hugs!
